SMART RESOURCE | Inquiry Learning promotes independence and motivates students in their learning. It is gender inclusive and is relevant to all students. This resource includes the Learning Goals and Success Criteria for the Inquiry process. The individual steps are presented on cards with a matching question. These can be cut out to form a puzzle. The students then match the step with the process question. This is a great game for the students to familiarise themselves with IBL process. Included is a How did you rate? reflection sheet. The resource is presented in colour and, black and white which is suitable for the students books.
SMART RESOURCE | The resource includes an explanation of De Bonos Six Thinking Hats and the type of thinking these hats evoke. Also included is a set of Thinking Hat cards together with a list of hat combinations which can be used in sequence to perform more complicated thinking tasks.
SMART RESOURCE | The 16 Habits of Mind support skills to solve problem-based learning and inquiry-based learning. They provide students with skills to improve their thinking processes and strategies, promoting efficient and effective thinking. The strategies are presented as individual charts. A daily/weekly focus management board is also included where a habit/s may be a displayed as a focus for discussion and application. It is advisable to laminate and enlarge the board or reduce the charts for display.
