Sight Words
It is essential for readers and writers to develop a large number of sight words and phrases in order for them to immediately recognise high frequency words.
Recognising high frequency words by sight frees students to concentrate on meaning as they read and write. It also helps them to learn further sight words and to improve reading fluency.
